Request Stop privacy policy

Last updated: [DATE OF PUBLICATION]

In short

  • The game has no account and collects nothing about you itself.
  • Optional rewarded ads are provided by Google AdMob. An ad never interrupts play.
  • Google Play Games leaderboards are used only if you are signed in to Play Games.

Who we are

Request Stop is an arcade driving game for Android published by Layover Games Lab AS (organisation number [ORGANISATION NUMBER], [POSTAL ADDRESS]). We are the data controller for the game. Contact: info@layovergameslab.com.

What is stored on your phone

To save your game, the following is kept in the game's private storage on your phone:

None of it is sent to us. To delete it, use Settings → Reset progress in the game, clearing the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstalling the game.

Android backup

If you have Android backup turned on, Android may include the game's saved data in your device backup to your Google account, so it can be restored on a new phone. Google handles that backup under your Google account settings and Google's Privacy Policy. We cannot access it, and you can turn backup off in your phone's settings.

Advertising

The game offers optional rewarded video ads, for example for one more bus or double coins after a run. You never have to watch one, and no ad is shown during play or between runs. The ads are served by Google AdMob. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects the following and shares it with Google:

This data is encrypted in transit. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the game asks for your consent with Google's consent form before any ad is requested, and personalised ads are shown only if you agree. You can change your choice at any time under Settings → Privacy choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings. How Google uses information from apps that use its services. Google may process this data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Google protects those transfers with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Google Play Games

If you are signed in to Google Play Games on your phone, the game sends your Survival and Daily Run scores to its leaderboards and unlocks achievements under your Play Games profile. Google runs that service, and you control what other players can see of your profile in the Play Games app. If you are not signed in, nothing is sent.

In-app purchase

The optional Supporter Pack is sold through Google Play, and Google handles the payment entirely. We never see your name, email address or payment details. The game only receives a confirmation from Google Play that the purchase was made, and uses it to unlock what you bought. To do this the game includes Google's Play Billing Library, which talks to the Google Play Store app on your phone and may send Google diagnostic information about purchases under Google's own policy.

Sharing

The Share button opens Android's share menu with a short line of text about your run. It goes only where you choose to send it.

Permissions

Google Play

When you download the game, Google Play processes information such as your Google account and device under Google's Privacy Policy. Google gives us aggregated statistics through the Play Console, such as install numbers, crash rates and device models. These statistics do not identify you.

If you email us

If you write to us at info@layovergameslab.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to answer you and to fix the problem you report, and we keep it only as long as we need it for that. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering the people who play our games.

Legal basis (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

Answering emails is based on our legitimate interest, as described above.

What we never do

Children

Request Stop is meant for a general audience aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, for example by emailing us, contact us at info@layovergameslab.com and we will delete it.

Your rights

Under data protection law (the GDPR in Norway and the rest of the EEA, and similar laws elsewhere, such as in the UK and California) you have the right to access, correct and delete personal data about you, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect what was done before. Most of the data described above is held by Google, linked to random IDs rather than to your name, so many requests are easiest to make through your Google account. You can always write to us at info@layovergameslab.com and we will help. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Norway that is Datatilsynet.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page with a new date. Significant changes will also be announced in Request Stop.
