Busy Lines privacy policy
Last updated: [DATE OF PUBLICATION]
In short
- Busy Lines does not collect, send or share any personal data.
- There are no accounts, ads, analytics, crash reporting or in-app purchases, and the game has no internet access.
- Your progress stays on your phone.
Who we are
Busy Lines is a city transit game for Android published by Layover Games Lab AS (organisation number [ORGANISATION NUMBER], [POSTAL ADDRESS]). We are the data controller for the game. Contact: info@layovergameslab.com.
What is stored on your phone
To save your game, the following is kept in the game's private storage on your phone:
- Rush records, Daily City results and streak, goals and achievements
- puzzle progress and stars, coins, hints, bus liveries and depot perks
- your settings (sound, haptics and the daily reminder)
None of it is sent to us. To delete it, use clearing the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstalling the game (Settings → Reset progress in the game clears puzzle stars only).
Android backup
If you have Android backup turned on, Android may include the game's saved data in your device backup to your Google account, so it can be restored on a new phone. Google handles that backup under your Google account settings and Google's Privacy Policy. We cannot access it, and you can turn backup off in your phone's settings.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the game can show an optional reminder at 19:00 when you haven't played the Daily City yet. It is scheduled and decided entirely on your phone. You can turn it off in the game's settings or in Android's notification settings.
Sharing
After a Daily City you can share your result. This opens Android's share menu with a short line of text, and it goes only where you choose to send it.
Permissions
- Notifications, only for the optional daily reminder, and only if you allow it.
Google Play
When you download the game, Google Play processes information such as your Google account and device under Google's Privacy Policy. Google gives us aggregated statistics through the Play Console, such as install numbers, crash rates and device models. These statistics do not identify you.
If you email us
If you write to us at info@layovergameslab.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to answer you and to fix the problem you report, and we keep it only as long as we need it for that. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering the people who play our games.
What we never do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not ask for your name, email address, contacts, precise location, photos or files.
- We run no servers for the game, and the game has no chat and no user-generated content.
Children
Busy Lines is meant for a general audience aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, for example by emailing us, contact us at info@layovergameslab.com and we will delete it.
Your rights
Under data protection law (the GDPR in Norway and the rest of the EEA) you have the right to access, correct and delete personal data about you, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability. Because the game sends us nothing, the only personal data we could hold about you is an email you have sent us. Ask us about it at any time at info@layovergameslab.com. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Norway that is Datatilsynet.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page with a new date. Significant changes will also be announced in Busy Lines. If a future version adds anything that sends data from your phone, such as ads, analytics, purchases or online features, we will update this policy before that version is released.
